In this research, some problems on religion have been studied by Ghazali's approach of studying religion. Although Ghazzali being of some presuppositions had a religious approach to religious beliefs, he sought to rebuild and restore religion in his day. As viewed by him, religion focuses on human thought and action both. Religion is not only external and appear rituals, but it is an important agent for cultivating human beings. The essence of religion is in sciences lies in intuition, but its path passes from the science of transaction. Although final prosperity is the ultimate goal of religion, this prosperity is based on worldly prosperity. In this view, God is the ultimate source of religion, and religious leaders have authority هرچند دین‌پژوهی عنوانی جدید در حوزه مطالعات دینی است، اما می‌توان مسائل آن را از دیدگاه سنتی مورد بررسی قرار داد. در این پژوهش مسائلی درباره دین با رویکرد دین‌پژوهانه غزالی مورد بررسی قرار گرفته است. غزالی هرچند با پیش‌فرض‌هایی درباره دین رویکردی سنتی به دین داشت، اما به هرحال درصدد بازسازی و احیای دین در روزگار خود بود. در منظرغزالی، دین هم به ساحت نظر و هم به ساحت عمل دیندار توجه می‌کند. دین تنها، مناسک ظاهری و بیرونی نیست، بلکه مجالی برای تزکیه آدمی به‌شمار می‌رود. گوهر دین در علوم مکاشفه است، اما راه رسیدن آن از مسیر علوم معامله می‌گذرد. هرچند سعادت اخروی غایت قلمروی دین شمرده می‌شود، اما این سعادت در گروی سعادت دنیوی به دست می‌آید. در این اندیشه، خداوند منشاء و خاستگاه نهایی دین است و رهبران دینی مرجعیت دارند https://pwq.bou.ac.ir/article_66669_f19fecfa83bd0267ed13a62001d3108b.pdf
