Abstract

Both mysticism and Sharia hold Perfect man to be of two aspects: sometimes he is such a celestial realm that the whole being is clearly known to him, sometimes he is earthly that he knows nothing of even what is in front of him. These two paradoxical aspects of Perfect man’s knowledge gave rise to different opinions. On one extreme there are those who hold him to be of actual knowledge by presence of everything while on other side of extreme his enjoyment of such a presential knowledge is totally rejected and only knowledge at his will and proportion to his capacity was retained. Using descriptive- analytic with a critical approach devoid of extremist view the present article is to offer a new perspective of “actuality in terms of capability” and show that while perfect man enjoys actual and continuous knowledge, he might be subject to negligence because he is not aware of the mode and depth of knowledge
