The journal of Theosophia Practica employs a double-blind peer-review process designed to be efficient, equitable, and rigorous, thereby ensuring the publication of high-quality research. To sustain this standard, the journal relies on reviewers who possess substantial subject-matter expertise and who can provide insightful, constructive, and objective evaluations of submitted manuscripts within the timeframe specified by the Editor.
 

Reviewers' Responsibilities

(Adapted from the Ethical Guidelines for Peer Reviewers established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE): )
Should you be invited by the Editor-in-Chief or Associate Editor of the journal of Theosophia Practica to review a manuscript, please adhere to the following responsibilities:
  • Review the manuscript critically yet constructively, providing detailed, actionable feedback to assist authors in strengthening their work.
  • Evaluate successive revisions of the manuscript as required.
  • Submit all requested evaluations and documentation within the deadlines established by the Editorial Office.
  • Provide a clear recommendation to the Editor regarding the manuscript's suitability for publication in the journal of Theosophia Practica .
  • Disclose to the Editor any potential conflicts of interest pertaining to the authors, institutions, or subject matter of the manuscript under review.
  • Report any suspected instances of research misconduct, including but not limited to plagiarism, data fabrication, or duplicate submission.
  • Suggest qualified alternative reviewers if you are unable to complete the review for any reason.
  • Treat the manuscript and all related materials as strictly confidential.
  • Refrain from using any data, arguments, or conclusions presented in the manuscript for personal or professional advantage prior to its publication.
  • Avoid direct communication with the authors, particularly if their identities become known during the review process.
  • Maintain anonymity by not disclosing your identity to the authors.
  • Decline to delegate the assigned review to another individual without prior approval from the Editor.
  • Assess whether the manuscript represents original, high-quality scholarship that advances knowledge in the field.
  • Notify the Editor immediately if you become aware that the manuscript is concurrently under consideration by another publication.
  • Prepare the review report exclusively in Persian, in accordance with the journal's language policy.
  • Consider authoring a scholarly commentary related to the reviewed manuscript, if invited by the Editor.
 

Criteria for Manuscript Evaluation

When reviewing a submission to the journal of Theosophia Practica, please assess the manuscript against the following criteria:
  • Novelty: Does the work present new findings, perspectives, or methodological approaches?
  • Originality: Is the contribution intellectually distinct and free from undue reliance on prior publications?
  • Scientific Rigor: Are the methods, analyses, and interpretations methodologically sound and logically supported?
  • Scholarly Contribution: Does the manuscript offer a meaningful advancement to the field of study?
  • Theoretical or Empirical Extension: Does it introduce new dimensions, applications, or insights to existing knowledge domains?
  • Ethical Compliance: Does the research adhere to established ethical standards regarding data collection, authorship, and reporting?
  • Structural Adherence: Does the manuscript follow the journal's author guidelines with respect to organization, formatting, and stylistic conventions?
  • Reference Appropriateness: Are citations comprehensive, current, relevant, and accurately formatted to substantiate the arguments presented?
  • Linguistic Accuracy: Is the text free from errors in grammar, punctuation, spelling, and syntax that could impede clarity or scholarly interpretation?
  • Integrity Indicators: Are there any indications of scientific misconduct, including plagiarism, redundant publication, or unethical research practices?
