Abstract
Knowledge of the Unseen is one of the important theological issues less dealt with in by philosophical perspective. Explaining it through approach of Peripatetic philosophy as foundation for other schools of philosophy can open a new horizon for researcher.
The present essay is to first explain the Peripatetic philosophical principles of knowledge of the Unseen and then to appeal to components of Ibn Sina’s philosophical system as immateriality of soul, Active Intelligence, celestial souls, and perceptive faculties. It is shown that on the basis of such foundations as well as his rational and mystical arguments one can prove the knowledge of the Unseen as gifted or God-bestowed knowledge. The article concludes with a brief analysis of the problem and possible objections that can be raised to the issue in question.
