The extent of influence of religious scholars can be distinguished from the study of their viewpoints. Mulla Amin Astarabadi as founder and propounder of traditionism is not an exception. The works and thoughts of traditionists particularly the founder of this school have always been investigated by researchers. Though philosophical and Kalam problems occupy the bulk of extent works of Astarabadi, he was not preoccupied with overall examination of such problems nor with establishing a coherent belief system. Reluctant as he seems to be in first glance in regard with theological issues, on examining the problem of God’s knowledge, we notice that Astarabadi was also interested in deepening our understanding of this issue. In his four prominent works: Three Discussions, Doctrinal Themes, Meccan Benefits and Royal Compendium Astarabadideals with nature of God’s knowledge and he makes reference to views of Islamic scholars concerning possibility of Divine Knowledge, its being essential attribute or as an act of His essence and whether is coeternal or posterior to the Essence.
