In view of scriptural sources reason is of high status of value. It plays practical as well as theoretical roles. Reception and attainment of truths and proper and essential perceptions constitute the perceptive status of reason called theoretical or speculative reason. It is also of motivation and evocative force in leading and governing the affairs of imaginal and corporeal bodies and consequently the human will and other related motivational aspects of the souls and bodies that can all be lumped together under practical reason. The realization of these ends presupposes the jewel of intellect bestowed upon and molded with each human primordial nature. Unless this innate intellect leads and rules all human faculties and dimensions of life, man will not attain his desirable and perfect end and thus will not be distinguished from other animals. It is through the rule and dominance of intellect that human faculties whether perspective or practical can be saved from obstacles and impediments of lower vegetative and animal souls. Transformation of lower desires and inferior faculties into higher and more sublime ones can only be realized in light of the governance of intellect. the rule of lower and corrupt souls will come to an end with totally reverse results in which man may commit all acts of satanic acts and thus transform his nature and use his intellect to malicious ends.
